By using Decibe ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use. The Service is provided by Smitteck GmbH, Zurich, Switzerland. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Decibe is an AI-powered decision support tool. It asks structured questions and generates recommendations based on your answers. The Service is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only.

3. No professional advice

Decibe does not provide financial, legal, medical, or other professional advice. Recommendations are generated by artificial intelligence based on your stated preferences and should not be the sole basis for important decisions. Always consult a qualified professional for decisions involving health, finances, legal matters, or safety.

4. User responsibilities

• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
• You are responsible for the content you submit. Do not submit content that is illegal, abusive, or infringes third-party rights.
• Do not attempt to manipulate, reverse-engineer, or abuse the Service.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, its design, and underlying technology are owned by Smitteck GmbH. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without written permission. Recommendations generated for you are yours to use freely.

6. Data and privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We automatically strip personally identifiable information from inputs before processing.

7. Advertisements

The Service may display advertisements. These are contextual only — ads are matched to the decision topic on the page, not to your personal data, browsing history, or cookies. No personal data is stored or sent to Google or any advertiser. Advertisements are clearly labeled and are independent of the questions asked or recommendations generated. Advertisers have no influence on the decision-making process.

8. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Smitteck GmbH shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to decisions made based on AI-generated recommendations. To the maximum extent permitted by Swiss law, our total liability is limited to CHF 100.

9. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on the Service.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Swiss law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zurich, Canton of Zurich, Switzerland.
